I ride my bike to work. I always use the same bike route, as it’s convenient and free of perilous streetcar tracks. However, this week another peril arrived close to the Dundas and St. George intersection: police on motorbikes, ticketing cyclists. At first I just saw bikers getting written up, and wasn’t sure what the offence was. But yesterday, I stopped at the 4-way-stop, which I don’t often do, and looking to the right I saw them laying in wait. Today the cyclist ahead of me ran the stop sign, and VRRRRROOOOOM. Good thing it wasn’t me! I wonder how much the ticket is?!

do they have sirens?
on the top of their helmets?
I believe there is a siren on their motorbikes. Yes, the picture is a little misleading… The cops that I talk of ride motorcycles, not bicycles - probably cos they wouldn’t be able to catch up otherwise!
